We heart our Refs, right?

What a beautiful day. Looks like the kickball god cooperated and gave us sunshine for the second day of games. Games were good. competitive. fun. and major props to the few innocent bystanders who I plucked off the bleachers to ref the first set of games. most of them were on their second set of kickball games ever.

so the theme of this week's post: Be nice to you refs.

keep in mind, refs are volunteering their time. they may or may not know all the intricacies of the rules. they could be drinking, but instead they are reffing your game. so please....

- dont argue with your refs, your captain can dispute a call, but its the ref's final word
- feel free to hem and haw over bad calls, but on your own time, not on the field
- buy your refs a beer at Liffey's. they earned it. its hard to referee
-volunteer for your team (or you might be assigned to just do it, depending on how your captain makes it work.)

there will be a reffing schedule out soon ( teams will be assigned to provide refs for certain games.) dont worry- your bye weekend is sacred. but if you havent made plans to go away on your bye weekend, feel free to come by and cheer on fellow kickballers, or just join us at Liffey's.
